Designed in 1952 the SE18 folding chair by Egon Eiermann is an extremely functional chair that requires very little space. This solid folding chair has become a part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York underlining its importance as a design object. The SE18 Folding chair won The Good Design Award at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1953 and the silver medal at the Triennale in Milan in 1954.
